As an Accounting Assistant, you will use your close attention to detail and knowledge of company finances to assist the Accountant. Responsibilities Accounts Receivable

• Ensure accurate transmission of data from internal software to Xero
• Manage the AR process including customer payment entry and bank deposit creation
• Monitor AR balance, make collection calls as needed; submits monthly AR report to Accountant and Franchisees

Accounts Payable

• Review vendor invoices/check requests for accuracy and record in Xero
• Process regular check runs for vendor payments
• Manage credit card receipts and reconcile monthly

Requirements

• Associate degree in accounting or finance is preferred
• 3-5 years of accounting and/or bookkeeping experience preferred
• Ability to maintain complex financial records and to prepare financial reports accurately
• Knowledge of P&L and Balance Sheet statements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
• Must be proficient with the following applications: Xero/QuickBooks, Excel, Word, Outlook
