About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic financial guidance and oversee the operations of the Finance Department. The CFO will be responsible for a wide range of financial functions, including accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budget, financial reporting, financial compliance, and investment. The successful candidate will be expected to direct, plan, and maintain systems and controls related to these functions, establish a system of internal control over cash receipts and disbursements, and ensure the company's compliance with relevant financial regulations. Additionally, the CFO will be involved in the preparation and submission of various financial reports, managing the company's investment portfolio, and supervising the business office functions. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business management, with a preference for a Certified Public Accountant. A minimum of 5 years' administrative experience in a relevant environment is required, along with advanced knowledge of school finance, budgeting, and accounting systems. The role demands a candidate with strong leadership skills, the ability to motivate staff, and a deep understanding of state and federal financial regulations. The CFO will also be expected to have excellent communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work with various stakeholders to ensure that the company's fiscal operations support its educational goals and objectives.
