About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the business affairs and financial management of the school system. The CFO will be responsible for developing accurate annual and long-range budgets, forecasting revenues and expenditures, and ensuring the best possible educational services are provided within the available financial resources. This role involves direct supervision of the business office and includes tasks such as administration of purchasing, payroll, and financial reporting. The CFO will also be involved in strategic financial planning, cash flow management, investment activities, and making recommendations for program improvements or cost reductions to maintain long-term fiscal solvency. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a strong educational background, with an MBA or MA in a related field preferred. A Bachelor's degree combined with significant experience will also be considered. The ideal candidate will have a background in school finance and/or accounting, with relevant certifications being a plus. Responsibilities include overseeing all district fiscal functions, budgeting, financial condition analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The CFO will also be involved in supervising the business office staff, district purchasing, and managing the district's insurance and real estate programs. Leadership experience, broad financial knowledge, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
