Under general direction from the Business Operations Manager, this position is responsible for assisting all store managers in the hiring and onboarding processes. Additional responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service in a fast paced, team-oriented environment through the facilitation of the sales, auction, and appraisal process. These processes include responsibility for cash management, processing and auditing of paperwork associated with sales, and providing exceptional customer service by answering questions and handling incoming calls. Coordinate employment process for job applicants visiting the CarMax location, including scheduling, paperwork, and status updates in Workday. Coordinate all new associate orientation, ensuring documentation completion, personnel file maintenance, and training on systems like Kronos and Workday Learning. Perform Business Office functions such as customer service, paperwork processing for retail/wholesale automobile sales, auction sales, dealer registration, appraisal lane purchases, cash management, and DMV paperwork processing. Mentor new Business Office Associates and train other store departments on Business Office processes. Clerical duties include copying, filing, data entry, and answering multi-line phone system. Work environment includes a noisy office with distractions, requires walking or standing for extended periods, and varied work schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must wear CarMax clothing while working in the store.
