Little Paws of Hope is looking for a Daycare Coach to join our team. Our organization is about people and their dogs.. The facility is staffed 365 days a year and is exceptionally busy when schools are on holiday recess. Experience is desired, however a genuine love for animals is a must. You must be able to handle dogs without being afraid of them and without allowing them to control you. You must be in good physical condition, able to squat, stoop, bend, lift, and do a lot of walking. Must be willing to maintain the highest standards in cleanliness. There will be opportunities for advancement, if you excel.Safety is the responsibility of each individual and management expects all work to be done in a safe manner.Purpose of JobThe Daycare Coachs role is to help manage safe and controlled playgroups and to oversee the total care of all the dogs in the facility on any given day. This position is critical as you will help to maintain the high standard and quality of individualized care our customers have come to expect. Paying attention to the details, communication and teamwork are the top priorities of this job and ownership will have high expectations that you are following company protocol at all times in order to be an excellent example for all team members.What you will be doingSupervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment, both inside & outsideWork as a team to ensure obedience skills are used to manage the packObserve dogs for any and all odd behaviors, signs of illness or injury and report to managementMaintain sanitary play yards, suites and enclosures to ensure that Little Paws of Hope is inviting and clean at all timesMust be able to follow directions and comply with processes and procedures for best practices in animal care, health and safetyAssist management in ensuring that all policies and procedures are being followedRead white board on a daily basis and take note of all comings/goings, special instructions, etc.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift food and belongings weighing up to 50 poundsWork standing, walking and bending for 6-8 hour shiftsStamina to work with energetic dogs, while ensuring our facility is inviting and sanitaryExperience and EducationHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in a pet facility or pet care environment a plusBasic understanding of dog communicationExcellent work historyJoin our team where your passion for animals can make a difference every day!
