This role is responsible to complete orders by selecting products from the warehouse racks and to assemble, palletize and/or shrink wrap products/pallets for customer orders. An Order Selector may be required to use a variety of powered industrial equipment and may be required to work in dry or cooled product areas including refrigerated and freezer compartments. Locate and lift cases, boxes, bags, and/or pallets of dry groceries, frozen foods, dairy products, produce, poultry, fish, beef, pork and related products in specific quantities for delivery to customers by using order sheets or an audio headset. Operate powered industrial equipment (e.g. single and double pallet jacks). Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including conducting inspections of powered industrial equipment using a safety checklist. Report damaged products, quality issues, and out-of-stock/low volume products. Utilize proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. High school diploma or GED preferred. Prior order selecting experience preferred. Prior experience operating power industrial equipment preferred. Must perform assigned tasks accurately while meeting production standards in a fast-paced warehouse operation. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures. Ability to work in multi-temperature areas as assigned (e.g. freezer, coolers, dry conditions). Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Physical requirements include frequent sitting, walking, standing, use of hands and feet for repetitive movements, ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance, and ability to work in varying temperature and humidity conditions. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and as assigned. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
